As the name suggests, we specialise in picking up and moving almost anything to almost anywhere in the top of the South Island.

We have the capacity to lift all sizes from pianos and spa pools to concrete building panels, cars and trucks, boats, wine and dairy vats, house frames and construction site buildings. Nothing is too small or too big for us to Lift N Shift.

Our modern, well maintained fleet of crane trucks range in size from smaller 4 wheel units through to 6 and 8 wheelers, including a special concrete panel trailer unit that makes moving concrete panels affordable and cost effective.

The largest of our Crane trucks is able to lift 750kg at 27 metres. Lift N Shift also have personnel buckets available to assist in various areas, including live power line work for electrical companies.  Also available is a range of different length semi-trailers, including trombone trailers that can carry lengths up to 30 metres.

All Lift N Shift drivers are qualified to NZQA standard and they practice “Site Safe” management. Lift N Shift also have a Vehicle Recovery Licence if you have a misadventure or for just relocating your vehicle. We also have Class 1 & Class 2 Pilot Vehicles and Drivers available

After over 16 years in the Lift N Shift business, I believe our reputation as a quality service provider can be attributed to our prompt service and professionalism. We’re based in Nelson, but we constantly work in the Marlborough region as well. We have the ability to respond swiftly to specific requests for any kind of lifting and shifting, from vehicle recovery to fishing nets to shipping containers to transporting steel and erecting on site. One truck does the lot.
